A Very Special Moment for FolkDeep

Our project Radha Sutra: Stories Across Borders has been featured in The Assam Tribune in the Panorama section, under the title: “Radha Sutra: A Digital Cultural Exchange Project”.

Radha Sutra began as a simple but powerful idea — to connect Delhi and Belfast through folklore, storytelling, folk art, oral histories, women’s memories, dance, workshops, and everyday cultural traditions that often live outside formal archives.

Through this project, we are carrying Indian folk traditions into schools and community spaces in Belfast, while bringing Irish folklore, Céilí dance, and storytelling into Delhi’s community and NGO spaces.

Seeing this work recognised and shared with readers in Assam feels deeply meaningful. It reminds us why community-led cultural work matters — because stories travel, cultures speak to each other, and ordinary people carry extraordinary archives within them.

A heartfelt thank you to Dhiman Das for his support, care, and guidance throughout the story process, and to The Assam Tribune for giving Radha Sutra this space.

One story, one community, one bridge at a time.
